Thanksgiving in Lubbock

The last box was finally unpacked, the last curtain hung, and even the garage got organized!! We then headed out for a Thanksgiving weekend in Lubbock where Luke's dad and Sally (and her family) live.

Liam was BEYOND ecstatic to see Pacos (their dog) and Lucky (their cat).

Liam's long lost buddy:

What do you think he wants for Christmas?!?

We then went to Thanksgiving brunch at the Holiday Inn Express for a massively impressive meal. It was a nice time to visit and meet Sally's family!! We had a great time!!

Then, of course the boys watched football. Luke wants to make sure I got the score of the Lions/Titans game in their to rub it in Patrick's face. LOL.

We then attempted to make a gingerbread house...it all went wrong!! We even attempted to use a hair dryer!! LOL!! The icing was just runny and discolored from the premade mix in the box. :( Then Luke attempted to make icing, which was also too runny. We just gave up after a while and ate all the candy!! LOL!!

The drive home went well. We took a different way home which cut off about an hour, even with the Thanksgiving traffic (THANK YOU TOM!). On our way out the door, grandpa and Sally gave Liam a Thanksgiving present....a Yodelling Pickle!! LOL!! I about laughed my head off at this gift!! By far the strangest gift we've received this year!!! He played with it the ENTIRE WAY HOME!!! Yodelled all the way home!! LOL!!!

The cotton fields in west Texas are everywhere!! On a pit stop to get a DVD, Luke grabbed a piece off the road that blew off the field!

Fresh cotton ball, ready for taking off my make-up! :)

I LOVE FALL COLORS!!!!!

I laughed so hard seeing these signs, and totally thought of my dad. This is for you Papa!!! LOL!!

Had to take a picture of the terrain finally chaning into a rolling hill!!! West and North Texas is pretty darn flat!!

All in all, we had a great time in Lubbock with our family and are happy to be home safe and sound. Thanks Dad J and Sally for a fun Thanksgiving weekend!!
