ODE TO LIAM
5th Edition

Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
You are five now
No more Winnie the Pooh!

You melt my heart
No difference there
But now you’re a big boy
No longer a baby bear

Equipped with opinions
You’re now sharing your feelings
You’ve come such a long way
From Autism you’ve been dealing

I’m proud of you beyond all words
Your strength amazes me
Physically, mentally, and spiritually
Don’t you see?

You’ve dealt with so many things
Most 5 year olds never have to
But God has a plan
And knows you can soldier through

And one day,
You’ll follow your dreams
With God by your side
My heart will ever beam
